Yoga Fix 30 - Day 8 - HIIT Yoga
Into Week 2
"The question is not what you look at, but what you see."
-Henry David Thoreau
Here we are into our second week. Were you able to do all of the videos for week 1? If so, that's awesome and if not, not judgement. This isn't a race. I don't remember who said it but life is not a sprint, it's a marathon. You can take these classes at your own pace. They are here for you! Practice today's affirmation from Louise Hay:
"I rejoice in who I am. I am a beautiful expression of life, flowing perfectly at all times." Today's class is a challenging HIIT practice so remember your affirmation!!
Additional "homework:" Energy flows where there's space for it to do so. If you have some clutter around your home (I know I do!) then start to get rid of it today. This homework might take some extra time, but it's worth the effort. Donate things that you don't use. File that paperwork, throw away things you don't need. Your life will feel much lighter! I'm getting excited about doing it just by writing this!!
Love,
Lesley
PS I would love to see you in person!! I have some retreats coming up In the US in Santa Cruz, California and in Sedona, Arizona. Go here for more information and to access links to sign up...I hope to see you soon! xoxo
Yoga Fix 30 - Day 10 - Total Body Yoga Workout
The party starts when the worrying stops
"As soon as you trust yourself, you will know how to live."
-Johann Wolfgang Van Goethe
Congratulations on opening this message and embarking on day 10! You're doing great! I'm so happy that you're here. I was thinking about stress and worry because I experience it sometimes as I'm sure you do too. But the thing is...everything always works out for the best, right? I love that saying "worrying is like a rocking chair. You go back and forth and back and forth but you never get anywhere."
Today's affirmation is:
"I am filled with joy. It flows through me with every beat of my heart."
Additional "homework:" In your journal, write down some things that you were worried about in the past and how they were resolved. Did spending time worrying help you in any way? Is there anything you're worried about now? If so, write it down and then write, "I don't know how this situation will resolve but I trust that it will work out in the best possible way because I've been worried before, and things have always worked out for me."
All my love,
Lesley
PS See you tomorrow!! xoxo
Yoga Fix 30 - Day 12 - HIIT With Handstand
Have you Decluttered?
"One does not discover new lands without consenting to lose site of the shore for a very long time."
-Andre Gide
How is your closet looking? Have you started to get rid of your clutter? Be honest...is there more that you can give away or donate? Those things you haven't used or worn in a year are good to go!
Here it your affirmation:
"I center myself in safety and accept the perfection of my life. All is well."
Additional "homework:" Keep working on that clutter situation. Research minimalism. You might enjoy letting go of much more than you initially thought! If you haven't started yet, begin to tackle those old papers and files that you've had forever too!
Love,
Lesley

Yoga Fix 30 -Day 15 - Shoulders, Upper Back and Balance
Find your center
"...remember one thing only: that it's you - nobody else - who determines your destiny and decides your fate. Nobody else can be alive for you, nor can you be alive for anyone else."
-EE Cummings
Hi my friend!!! I'm so glad you're here today. Our video for day 15 focuses on stretching and strengthening the shoulders and there are also some fun balance postures. As you've heard me say, yoga is about balance...balancing breath with movement, effort with surrender, strength with flexibility.
Affirmations help us to find mental balance. Here is today's to practice:
"I trust the right action is always taking place in my life. I am at peace"
Additional "homework:" Think about all of the things things that feel balanced in your life and then the ones that feel less balanced. In other words, what are the things that work well for you and what is a struggle. Write them in your journal. Notice if there are any common themes in the things that you're struggling with and then look at the commonalities in the things that are easier. Are there any changes that you can make to relieve some struggle? Sometimes a change in attitude can make a huge difference!
Love,
Lesley

Yoga Fix 30 - Day 25 - HIIT Class with Balance
Sometimes we fall but we can always get back up
"We are but visitors on this planet. We are here for ninety or one hundred years at the very most. During that period, we must try to do something good, something useful with our lives. If you contribute to other people's happiness, you will find the true goal, the true meaning of life."
-The Dali Lama
Today's HIIT class reminded me that life isn't always perfect. Sometimes we might fall out of balance poses (like I did several times in today's video), sometimes we might try to accomplish something and fail, sometimes we might succeed. That is life. If everything was always easy and perfect, how would we grow and become better people? If there isn't any pain, we don't appreciate joy and comfort. It's important to remember that sometimes things are difficult, but if we keep going and do our best, we'll be led to where we're needed. This affirmation is helpful for that:
"I easily flow with change. My life is divinely guided and I am always going in the best direction."
Additional "homework:" Come up with something that you can do to make someone happy. Since our time is limited (as the Dali Lama reminds us in today's quote), begin to brainstorm and write down things that you can do to contribute to other people's happiness. And then, take some action! It can be anything...something small is a wonderful way to start. You'll feel great!
Love,
Lesley
