Yoga Fix 30 - Day 3 - Yoga Twists for detox & Digestion
The Amount of Work is the Same
"The trick is in what one emphasizes. We either make ourselves miserable, or we make ourselves happy. The amount of work is the same."
-Carlos Castaneda
It's day 3 already! If you started on the first of January, today is the 3rd and it's also Stone's birthday! Happy 11th birthday Stone!
Did you know (according to Psychology Today) that it takes more energy to be angry than it does to be happy?? I read somewhere that it takes more muscles and effort to frown than it does to smile! So, making ourselves miserable is probably a bit more work than it is to make ourselves happy. Spend your energy wisely today!
Today's homework is to repeat and write today's affirmation at least 10 times and to place it around your home, in your car or at work so you can be reminded! Here it is:
"I now discover how wonderful I am. I choose to love and enjoy myself."
If you find that you're having a difficult time not being angry, or maintaining happiness, try the meditation below. It works great for me!

Lesley
Yoga Fix 30 - Day 30 - Hip Opening Flow
I am so proud of you!
"...don't stay timid. Load the ship and set out. No one knows for certain whether the vessel will sink or reach the harbor. Cautious people day, 'I'll do nothing until I can be sure.' Merchants know better. If you do nothing, you lose. Don't be one of those merchants who won't risk the ocean."
-Rumi
Congratulations! I'm so proud of you for being here and going through this journey with me. I hope you're proud of yourself too! Whether you made it through in 30 days or it took longer, it doesn't matter. What matters is that you showed up for yourself. You got onto your mat, moved through the postures as best you could and focused on your breath. The breath focus is where the magic happens! Poses come and poses go, but the breath is constant. Think back to day 1 and how you felt. Notice if there are any differences. I bet you feel physically stronger! I also bet that you're feeling calmer, more centered, and peaceful. You probably also feel more confident and good about yourself...as well you should! Keep getting on your mat as often as you can. If you want to continue with me tomorrow, be sure to go to http://www.patreon.com/fightmasteryoga and sign up to become a patron. I'm so grateful for your support and I wanted to be able to offer something in return. So, you'll have access to 7 additional yoga classes focused on each of the 7 chakras that won't be available anywhere else. It's just a small "thank you" and token of my gratitude. You'll also get discounts on courses, workshops and retreats. Plus, I've been meeting up with our Patron group once a week for Live video calls to answer questions, and chat about yoga! I hope to see you there!
Keep up the daily affirmations! You'll be amazed by the positive changes that occur in your life:
"I release the past, I am free to move forward with love in my heart."
Additional "homework:" Continue your visualizations of your dream life! Set aside 15 or 20 minutes a day where you focus on what you want to bring into your life and be sure to visualize it as if it's already happening. Most importantly, practice gratitude for everything! Don't stay timid...set out onto the ocean and never, ever, ever give up on yourself!
Love,
Lesley
