Day 2 - Vinyasa Yoga for Core Strength
Core Focus!
It's day 2...time for your YogaFix!
How many things would you attempt if you knew you couldn't fail?"
-Robert Frost
Wow! That is a great question. I know that fear of failure has kept me from putting my all into things in the past. Truth be told, if I knew I couldn't fail, I probably would have been a rock star!!
Your homework today is to practice a 5 minute meditation either sitting or laying down. Focus on your breath whenever your mind begins to wander, saying to yourself, "I am breathing in" on the inhale and, "I am breathing out" on the exhale. After you've completed 5 minutes (or more if you're feeling it), get a piece of paper and complete the following: "If I knew I couldn't possibly fail, I would..." Just write without censoring your thoughts...also known as stream of consciousness writing. You may be surprised at what you put down on your paper!
Today's affirmation is (from You Can Heal Your Life by Louise Hay), "I now choose to create a life that is joyful and abundant. I am at ease." Remember to repeat it in your mind or out loud 10 times or more today!

Yoga Fix 30 - Day 3 - Yoga Twists for detox & Digestion
The Amount of Work is the Same
"The trick is in what one emphasizes. We either make ourselves miserable, or we make ourselves happy. The amount of work is the same."
-Carlos Castaneda
It's day 3 already! If you started on the first of January, today is the 3rd and it's also Stone's birthday! Happy 11th birthday Stone!
Did you know (according to Psychology Today) that it takes more energy to be angry than it does to be happy?? I read somewhere that it takes more muscles and effort to frown than it does to smile! So, making ourselves miserable is probably a bit more work than it is to make ourselves happy. Spend your energy wisely today!
Today's homework is to repeat and write today's affirmation at least 10 times and to place it around your home, in your car or at work so you can be reminded! Here it is:
"I now discover how wonderful I am. I choose to love and enjoy myself."
If you find that you're having a difficult time not being angry, or maintaining happiness, try the meditation below. It works great for me!

Yoga Fix 30 - Day 4 - Vinyasa Flow to Strengthen Shoulders and Arms
Is it what you look at? Or what you see?
"Be careful how you interpret the world. It is like that"
-Eric Heller
Remember: you are the architect of your life. You're the author of your story and the director of your screenplay. You decide where to go, what to do, how to feel and most importantly, how to interpret to your circumstances.
It's day 4! Are you starting to feel the addiction take hold? I hope so! Here is today's affirmation. Remember to recite and/or write it at least 10 times:
"I am safe in the universe, and all life loves and supports me."
Additional "homework:" Meditate laying down or sitting up for 5 to 10 minutes and then write 3 pages of whatever comes to mind. Try not to censor yourself...

Yoga Fix 30 - Day 5 - Yoga for Core!
DANGER!!!
"The greater danger for most of us lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but setting our aim too low and achieving our mark."
-Michelangelo
Welcome to day 5. I love today's quote. It can be so scary to set high expectations for ourselves. I know! But, if we set our goals high and fall short, it's totally okay. So reach for the sky and believe yourself. You at least deserve that, right? If you achieve your wildest dreams that's awesome. If you don't, I be you'll achieve something equally as awesome that you weren't even expecting. It's a win-win!
Here's today's Louise Hay affirmation...you know what to do:
"I trust the process of life. I am safe."
Additional "homework" Write down some goals that you want to achieve this year and don't sell yourself short!

Yoga Fix 30 - Day 6 - Total Yoga Body Workout
Know Thyself
"Whether you think you can, or you think you can't, you're right."
-Henry Ford
Welcome to day 6. Today's practice is a little slower...slowing down is always a good idea. In fact, today's "homework" has to do with that:
Create some time in your schedule to relax. Take at least 5 minutes to do absolutely nothing. Sit comfortably or lie down and feel your body and mind relax. If it's too difficult to find the time, you're not alone. Keep at it. Try some Yoga Nidra if you can fit it into your schedule. I've included a video below that you can follow. Yoga Nidra is a wonderful way to cultivate some much-needed downtime. Taking time to slow down, relax and get quiet is the best way to get to know thyself!
Don't forget to practice your daily affirmation:
"I am a Divine expression of life. I love and accept myself where I am right now."
Love,
Lesley
