Yoga Fix 30 - Day 24 - Vinyasa Flow
Synchronicity
"Because when we love, we always strive to become better than we are."
-Don Miguel Ruiz
Thank you for taking the time to open and read today's message. As you continue along your 30 day program and you're strengthening your body and mind, you're also becoming more tuned into all energy. You've been writing in your journal, practicing affirmations, visualizing your awesome life and as a result of everything you're doing, the universe will begin to respond...you may have already noticed. If you haven't noticed yet, start to pay a little closer attention. Synchronicity is a concept that was first introduced by Dr. Carl Jung. The idea is that coincidences could have more meaning or connection than we might think. As you're continuing to visualize and send out your intentions, begin to notice what comes back to you. Perhaps you're creating your dream job in your mind and then someone contacts you (seemingly out of the blue) about a position that's in line with what you want. When something like that occurs, be sure to follow up on it! One way to be open to synchronicity is to relax and let go of trying to control everything. Our affirmation is helpful for that:
"My thinking is peaceful, calm, and centered."
Additional "homework:" Pay attention to any "hunches" you might have today and for the next few weeks. If the thought of someone pops into your mind that you haven't connected with in a while, give them a call or send a message. If you hear someone talk about a book that sounds interesting to you, pick it up and start reading. If you feel compelled to travel somewhere, try and take that trip. We're always being guided on our path and messages and inspiration comes in many ways. Pay attention and write things down as you receive them.
Love,
Lesley

Yoga Fix 30 - Day 25 - HIIT Class with Balance
Sometimes we fall but we can always get back up
"We are but visitors on this planet. We are here for ninety or one hundred years at the very most. During that period, we must try to do something good, something useful with our lives. If you contribute to other people's happiness, you will find the true goal, the true meaning of life."
-The Dali Lama
Today's HIIT class reminded me that life isn't always perfect. Sometimes we might fall out of balance poses (like I did several times in today's video), sometimes we might try to accomplish something and fail, sometimes we might succeed. That is life. If everything was always easy and perfect, how would we grow and become better people? If there isn't any pain, we don't appreciate joy and comfort. It's important to remember that sometimes things are difficult, but if we keep going and do our best, we'll be led to where we're needed. This affirmation is helpful for that:
"I easily flow with change. My life is divinely guided and I am always going in the best direction."
Additional "homework:" Come up with something that you can do to make someone happy. Since our time is limited (as the Dali Lama reminds us in today's quote), begin to brainstorm and write down things that you can do to contribute to other people's happiness. And then, take some action! It can be anything...something small is a wonderful way to start. You'll feel great!

Lesley

-Annie Dillard

And if not, I have lots of yoga videos on YouTube that you can do! Keep up the momentum!!
Remember, repeat each day's affirmation at least 10 times out loud if you can, or in your mind if there are people around (I totally get it!). Here it is:
"I am open and receptive to all the good and abundance in the Universe. Thank you Life."
Additional "homework:" Spend 15 to 20 minutes visualizing your dream life as if it's reality. Be as clear and specific about it as possible. Have fun with it!!!
Love,
Lesley

Yoga Fix 30 - Day 27 - Vinyasa Flow with Core
A question to ponder...
"Tell me, what is it that you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?"
-Mary Oliver
I just love Mary Oliver's question. I bet you can guess what your homework will be!! Today's affirmation might also help to figure out your plan:
"I think big, and then I allow myself to accept even more good from Life."
Additional "homework:" What ARE your plans for your one wild and crazy life?!? What does the next few days, weeks and months look like for you? Are you happy with the way things are shaping up in your near future? What about further down the road? Revisit your goals and dreams and, once again, be very specific!!
Love,
Lesley

Yoga Fix 30 - Day 28 - Guided meditation
Meditation to reduce stress
"Happiness, knowledge, not in another place, but this place, not for another hour, but this hour."
-Walt Whitman
Here we are at day 28...wow! As you've probably noticed, every 7 days, we have a gentle class with meditation or pranayama. Today is a guided meditation that will bring you to the beach! I know many of you have been experiencing a harsh winter so hopefully, this visualization will be enjoyable. Plus, this particular meditation is to help reduce anxiety, quiet the mind, and increase relaxation. Some people find the gentle classes the most difficult because it can be hard to stay still but don't skip it. It's so good for you to meditate and even though it's challenging, it will get easier with practice. Who knows, maybe this 30 day challenge will inspire you to add a meditation practice to your daily schedule.
Here's our affirmation for today:
"I have unlimited choices. Opportunities are everywhere."
Additional "homework:" Challenge yourself with an additional 10-15 minute meditation practice. You could add it right after today's video or do one in the morning and one in the evening. The more you practice, the easier it becomes plus the better you'll feel!!
Love,
Lesley
